It has been a minute since I posted on the blog! Winter is normally my “slow-down” time, so I typically take a break from blogging and social media posting. It’s now time to share from my last sessions from fall 2020. First up is Ms. Anna!
Anna is one of my ten senior model girls for the 2021 school year. She is so joyful and such the little model. Would you believe me if I told you she cut her hair right before this shoot on a whim?! I’ve never seen someone pull of bangs better than her. She is seriously so stinking cute.
This year has hit my seniors hard and taken so many things away from them. We had to skip our typical Christmas/winter shoot because the COVID-19 outbreak is at its worst, but I’m hoping to see them all again in the spring. I miss them and their sweet selves.
I also unfortunately had to announce that I will not have a 2022 senior team. COVID-19 has made it hard to host group shoots and activities this year and since we are unsure about the future, I decided it may be best to forgo a senior model team for 2022. The main bonus of being in a senior model team is to meet new people and participate in group activities. COVID-19 makes it difficult for my conscience to get a group of ten or more girls from different households together. I would hate to be the one responsible for getting a loved one sick.
Not only that, but I just recently learned that even though I have completed my major and minor requirements, I am short hours. It makes me nauseous just thinking about it. So, I will be spending the summer and possibly fall completing them… and probably adding another minor for marketing in there as well while I’m at it. I am already majoring in business management with a minor in small business, but since I still need hours, I thought I might as well add another minor in there. Marketing is probably my best skill business-wise… so why not minor in it?!
So, if you need me I will be busy with school work and working with my bride and grooms for the year (and 2022!). I have twenty weddings booked for the year which is my all-time high, and I can’t wait to serve all of my couples! I originally booked more weddings thinking I would be done with school. Since that is not the case, passing on the senior model team for 2022 is just the best choice for me! I will still be shooting portrait sessions here and there, so seniors are still welcome on my books, so don’t hesitate to email me. (:
