I finally did it! I graduated from Calhoun Community College on May 10th, 2019. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. On Friday, I graduated Magna Cum Laude and as a Presidential Scholar. I am so blessed to have been able to be a part of the first Presidential Honors Program at Calhoun. I have so many memories with the other ten students to carry with me the rest of my life!
Graduation day also left me with a lot to remember. It could be a long story, but I’ll make it short for the blog! (: So, graduation was at 6:00 on Calhoun’s Decatur campus. I wanted to stop by the Huntsville campus and take the pictures you see here on the blog. My friend Garrett also stopped by to get a couple of quick pictures. I took my cap and gown off to finish up with Garrett’s pictures, (those gowns are HOT!) and mom went to put my stuff in the car… along with her purse.
Long story short, the doors locked themselves. If I wasn’t signed in and seated in Decatur by five, I couldn’t walk. So, THANKFULLY we had Garrett and his mom to drive us to Decatur. My dad was able to stop by the car with a spare key on his way. I got my cap and gown just in time to walk. It was stressful, but I guess I have something to really help me remember the day I graduated!
I’ll start back at ASU in the fall to finish my degree in Business Management and entrepreneurship. This summer, I plan to take a break from school and pour my heart into my business. I’ll be working on more details to make my client experience even better. I also have a few weddings including one at the BEACH! Plus, my MMP Senior Spokesmodels will be announced in the next month too! It’s going to be an exciting summer, and I can’t wait to share it with you all!
