Whew, y’all! It has been HOT, and it’s not even June yet. Katie and Jacob’s Guntersville Lake engagement session felt like it was in mid-August, but it was only on memorial day weekend. We started our session in downtown Guntersville. The bank made the perfect backdrop for the urban portion of the session. After a quick outfit change, we headed down to the walking trails on Sunset Drive. The road lived up to its name and gave us some BEAUTIFUL dock pictures. Having some pictures by the water would not only give them variety, but it would also match the look of their riverside wedding this November.
I had never met Katie or Jacob before this session besides knowing them through social media and mutual friends. I already knew they would be an ideal couple through mine and Katie’s messages, but their session proved that to me! Sunday’s session let me know that Katie LOVES pictures! She was up for anything I suggested… even in ninety degree weather. She can also do some killer makeup and apply fake eyelashes herself (something I will never be able to do). I learned that Jacob will do anything for Katie. He wore khaki pants AND a long-sleeve button up for her in that heat and smiled big for every picture.
I can’t wait for the Maynard wedding in November at the beautiful Riverside Event Venue! I know it will be so much fun!
