Woohoo! The first wedding of 2022 has come and gone. Sarah and Cory’s winter Harmony Hills Ranch wedding was the perfect way to kick off my 2022 wedding season. Winter is pretty slow for photographers here in Alabama. It’s cold and usually dead outside (with the occasional 70 degree day because Alabama weather is indecisive). Most people prefer the warmer months for weddings, so I only get a handful throughout the colder seasons. I used to dread a winter wedding because I thought I couldn’t produce images that matched the rest of my portfolio, but I have since been proved wrong. Now I love a cool and cozy wedding where the bride wears white with a cozy sweater or fur shawl.
