Last week, I traveled from Huntsville to shoot Maysie’s grad session at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. To say I was excited would probably be an understatement. Ever since I started photographing seniors, taking pictures at THE president’s mansion has been at the top of my list.

I was so excited when Maysie and her mother contacted me about senior photos a couple of weeks ago. They said they wanted them on campus, which made me even more excited. We started our session at the Capstone College of Nursing. We then moved further down the strip. Maysie lives super close to Bryant Denny Stadium. So, after we finished up at the nursing building we drove to her house to park so we could walk.

I’m glad Maysie was able to show us of some of the most popular places on the strip. I hadn’t been to Tuscaloosa in about four years, so I had forgotten where everything was. When we stopped at Bryant Denny to get a couple of photos in front of the stadium, we quickly realized we were going to be waiting in line for the rest of the session. The stadium, president’s mansion, and Denny Chimes are all very popular portrait spots. EVERYONE was getting in their last minute senior pictures. Thankfully, that did not stop us from getting all of these great pictures. So, thank you Maysie for letting me take your senior pictures and getting me out of Huntsville!
